Hello world! Thank you for following me & my family on this wonderful journey. My name is Melissa and I’m a stay at home mom of two wild toddlers, Remi & Ariah. Remington is 3 years old, born February 19th 2017 and Ariah is 2 years old, making her grand appearance just a short year later, February 19th 2018. Even being a year apart, they look and act just like twins and raising them has been such an adventure every single day. I’m so blessed to be their mother and watch them learn and grow each and every day.

I also have two stepsons, Tyler, 6, & Cam, 8, who are the best big brothers in the world. I love those boys as if they were my very own and I’m so thankful God allowed me to step into their lives because they’ve filled it with so much joy since the day I met them both!

With so many little ones, you can imagine meals are a struggle. The older boys just wanted the same foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and as the little ones transitioned from “babies” to “toddlers,” they’re eating habits have changed drastically right along with them. I needed a way to turn my picky eaters into healthy eaters.

They all started to become less interested in greens, the look of any meat in general was a no-go for my daughter, and an assortment of colors just wasn’t enough anymore. I was beginning to get so frustrated because all they seemed to ever find an interest in, was junk food. Any kids favorite, am I right??

So I decided to explore and dove deep into Pinterest. First, I seen the cute breakfast ideas so I decided to give it a shot. We didn’t have as much to chose from in the pantry because it was close to grocery day, but I found what I could, to see what would happen.

The oatmeal & fruit smiley faces were my first attempt and let me just tell y’all, those smiley faces changed my families life! (Hints the logo) Ever since, I found a way to spice up their meals and snacks and rarely do I ever see anything left on their plates.

We hope Yucky to Yummy helps introduce your reluctant eaters to new, fun and healthy ways of eating. With recipes, tips, advice & more posted weekly. Enjoy, and happy blogging.😊
